Location

  • University of Dubuque - Stoltz Wrestling Center
  • Challenge Mat & Team Activities: Stoltz, McCormick area and Wrestling Complex
  • Meals: Dining Hall (UD Campus Center)
    • Buffet Style meals on campus
  • Waterpark: Optional if want to purcahse at event for teams (Waterpark access available for participating teams - hours vary)
    • $22 ($20 + $2 fee) per camper for day access to the Dubuque waterpark 
    • Tickets may be purchased during check-in or through your team coach

Additional Camp Information

  • On Campus Air Conditioning campus suite housing accomodations

  • ATHLETES SHOULD BRING:

    • Wrestling equipment (headgear, singlets, shoes, mouthguard, etc.) 

    • Workout gear (multiple changes for daily sessions)

      • Wrestlers should wear singlets for matches. (Freestyle or high school singlets are acceptable)

    • Singlets (optional)

    • Swimsuit or trunks (for optional waterpark access)

    • Towel & toiletries

    • Refillable water bottle 

    • Spending money (optional, for snacks, drinks, or UD Wrestling apparel) 

  • COACHES SHOULD BRING:

    • Med Kit with taping supplies and blood cessation materials

      • (Each team is responsible for their own basic first aid supplies. Certified athletic trainers will be present during all wrestling sessions.)

    • Golf clubs (optional) 

    • Coaches have the opportunity to golf at a nearby course prior to the coach's social 

    • Note: Limited space available — sign-up opens early June

Camp Weight Classes (14 per Division) BOYS

  • 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 144, 150, 157, 165, 175, 190, 215, 285

Weigh - Ins & Skin Checks

  • All wrestlers will be weighed upon arrival.
  • 7-lb weight allowance applies (e.g., 112 lbs = eligible for 106 class).
  • Skin checks will be conducted during weigh-ins.
  • Any wrestler with visible or questionable skin conditions must present a doctor’s written clearance to compete. 
  • Athletes currently being treated for skin conditions must bring documentation. 

Health & Wellness

  • Athletes or coaches feeling unwell should refrain from participation to protect team and staff health. 
  • Please review the Infection Prevention Checklist with your team prior to camp. 

Safety & Medical Protocol

  • Athletic trainers will be present at all wrestling sessions.
  • Each team must bring its own Med Kit, including: Taping supplies, Blood cleanup/cessation materials, Disinfectant 
  • Blood cleanup is mandatory — teams are responsible for their own hygiene during matches. 

Conduct & Sportsmanship

  • University of Dubuque athletes will serve as referees. All participants are expected to treat them with respect.
  • Each team must provide one table worker for clock and scoreboard duties during duals.
  • FloWrestling live microphones are active at the score tables. Remind team members to remain respectful—comments are heard by viewers. 
  • Inappropriate behavior or reports from livestream viewers will result in staff review with the head coach. 

Match Timing

  • Duals: 2-1-1 Periods
  • Individual Tournament: 1-1-1 periods

Challenge Mats

  • Challenge Mats will be available throughout camp.
  • Wrestlers seeking extra matches can visit the Challenge Mat any time. 
  • Athletes may earn up to 15 additional matches via challenge format. 

Farm-Out / Pick-Up System 

  • Coaches may loan athletes (farm out) or accept extras (pick up) to fill weight classes and increase matches. 
  • Participation in this process is optional. 
  • Farm-out forms will be emailed to head coaches in early June and must be submitted by the stated deadline.
